1997 was our fourth season with Dinghy-Tow and it has performed flawlessly in all conditions cruising New England from L.I. Sound to way down Maine. This past summer we journeyed to Toronto for the Nonsuch International Reunion at the R.C.Y.C. In the photo we're in Long Island Sound heading for NYC on our way to the Hudson River, Erie Canal, and Lake Ontario.

One problem with the Dinghy-Tow is that we're doing a lot of dinghy taxi duty for friends. My OB is running before thay can dig theirs out of the lazzarette or untangle it from the stern pulpit. AND, unlike davits, the dinghy isn't blocking my view when I look aft (particularly nice on the ICW, Erie Canal, etc.).

As you may tell from the photo, ours is a Nonsuch 30 ("Under Toad") with an 11 foot Avon and 4 HP Johnson OB. If I knew about Dinghy-Tow back then, I would have bought a bigger motor. It never leaves the dinghy transom!.
